Is UpdaterCloud really free for free apps?
Yes. UpdaterCloud is based on open source software, so our way of giving back to the community is by making the service free for all open source, non-commercial applications. UpdaterCloud will help you save time from backend and infrastructure work, so you can focus more on your product.
What counts as a product/application?
An item that can be updated (e.g. a WordPress plugin or theme, a Joomla component/module/plugin/template, other platform or standalone application) is generically refered to on UpdaterCloud as a product or application.
Is UpdaterCloud secure?
Yes. Your products are not publicly accessible, have unguessable URLs and can't be downloaded without a valid license key (unless they're free products). All sensitive data stored on UpdaterCloud servers is encrypted and we perform daily backups. All connections are encrypted using a SSL certificate.
Are my payment details safe?
Yes. UpdaterCloud does not store cardholder data on premises but relies entirely on Braintree (a PayPal service) to handle payment processing and storage of cardholder data. Braintree is PCI DSS certified and offers the highesst level of security available today.
Can I upgrade or cancel my account?
Yes. You can upgrade or cancel anytime. Upgrades will be billed according to the remaining number of days until the usual billing date. When you cancel, you will still be billed for the current month. You won't be billed again after that.
